OEM Catalytic Converter Heat Shield

Wassup guys,

I installed my ETS V2 Quiet exhaust about a month ago and I hear some rattling noise and found it it was my heat shield for my catalytic converter because I trimmed it to fit the mid pipe. Does anyone know if you could just completely remove the heat shield. Will it cause any problems?

Victor

i'd recommend having it tack-welded into place. cats get HOT. like hot enough to set stuff on fire. don't ask how i know

the heat shields are very helpful. also, remember the heat rises right up into the driveline tunnel of the car.
