i have a 3" cat converter and am looking for weld-on heat shields. we used to use them on our old cars.. but it's been YEARS since i've needed one..

anyone have an idea of where i can get some? they typically are two halves that you weld to the cat, or can be clamped, i believe.

i've been searching all day and can only find mats and wraps. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

 

Try a catalog like Jegs or Summit.

 

Have a muffler or hvac shop bend you some 20gauge and weld it on.

 

no dice on the catalogs. i can not find these things anywhere. weird 'cause i bought some years ago.. can't find them any more.

 

I'd be interested in this same thing. Lately I've been trying to find a stock Evo cat so I can take the heat shields off that. Not exactly my first choice since I'm assuming it will be a pain in the ***.
