Stealth TP/HFC using Oem Heat Shields?
Stealth TP/HFC using Oem Heat Shields?
Hi, can you simply bolt on the OEM Heat shields from the OEM cat onto a TP/HFC, in order to make it look like you have the stock cat if/when police checks?
Or do you have to weld it on there? Looking at these pics, seems like its just simply bolts?

I couldn't figure out how to attach the heatshield from the CC to my TP, because my TP has the bend in it so it doesn't rattle on the carrier-bearing of the drive-shaft.
I thought about how to make it work for about 20 mins, then I finished my beer, said **** it, and bolted the TP up without the heatshield, and stopped caring.
If I need the CC back on, I'll swap it back on.

I say u can't without going to a welder
Reason I say this is when I was installing the ams HFC I looked into it. In fact I sold my cat without the heat shield and I still have it here.
