Evo x 280 cam help?

Hello I need some help deciding on what would be the best 280 CAM for my build. Its a fully built 2.0L with a 6870 twin scroll and currently i have GSC s2 Cams that I used with the 6766. Now that I upgraded turbos I am looking for the best 280 cam option out there.

Tomei 280
Brain Crower 280
Kelford 214-C Which is a 278/272

I never delt with Tomei or Brain Crower only had GSC cams and Kelfords in my cars but GSC which I prefer doesn't make a s3 Cam i searched around and couldn't find any dyno results so I'm asking if anyone has any experence with these cams.

I'm running the 214c cams. Decent idle and awesome top end.

My understanding is that on the X with dual MIVEC, we don't really need as large of cams as with the VIII/IX and that's why very few people actually run large cams like these. Kelford C is the largest I've really seen people run consistently. I will be running a set myself with a Headgames Motorworks full ported head

What's your head setup? Ported and oversized valves?

When your pushing upwards of 800 hp the 280 cam helps out a lot.. the mivec actually cant keep up with the motor. Thats why magnus made a mivec delete kit.

No videos yet of the current setup. I'm on a 2.2 big bore right now and downsized to a GTX3576. So far I've only had it up to 24 lbs and 7800 rpm. With the Kelford 214C cams it was still pulling hard at 7800 with no power drop off. Valvetrain is built to 9000 but I'm not sure I want to take it that high. I idle just under 1000 and it is pretty smooth with just a slight lope. Main reason I went with Kelfords was because I'm a dealer and had good experiences in past cars. You can't really go wrong with any of the big name cam manufacturers.

I just dropped in a built 2 liter with Tomei 280 and a Borg Warner EFR 8374 in a customer's car so we will see how it does.

my vote is the AMS TMP. Ther're similar to the 3's but claim to have better idle, spool, and DD capabilities.

well, its their custom specs on a cam, but its manufactured by kelford. Or is it GSC. I don't remember. It is probably the most aggressive you can get on a cam while still keeping reasonable DD characteristics. Any more aggressive than that and it'll need to be a full race motor. Or you can just idle at like 2k.
