hey guys, just wondering if anyone has the akropovic exhaust? specifically turbo back. just curious as to how its working for you. Evo X 2014

 

What can be said about this exhaust that hasn't been said already.....hmmmm


perfect fitment - check
amazing sound - check
quality construction - check
"**** you Peasant" baller status - check
Great flow - check (people are running over 800 awhp with this exhaust)

Just dont waste money on the DP. Its doesnt replace the o2 housing.....kinda defeats the purpose.

 

Works well and sounds great !

 

If you can float the $4500 price...get it. It'll be the last ever exhaust you'll buy for the car and like said before don't get the downpipe get an AMS, ETS, or another downpipe that replaces the O2 housing as well.

 

It is the best exhaust made, but IMHO at $3,800 (most vendors) it is 12% of what I paid for my new Evo SE and that doesn't seem to make sense on this car. But my mint condition used SS Magnaflow was $250 and I love it :-)

Spend that money on a built short block instead, or if money is no object buy a GTR, Z06, GT3 etc.

 

As lbcevo said, you could put a LOT of that money towards a multitude of different mods for the car. Then again, if money ain't no thang, who are we to tell you no?

 

Honestly even if I had that money I wouldn't pay that much for an exhaust, it's just piping, sure the build is better but I see people making 700-800hp on custom shop exhausts. I'd spend that money on a turbo kit or even an on engine build.
