Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find out the weight of these two engines, the 4B11 and the 4G63.
So far, member's estimates of the 4G63 seems to be about 230 lbs for a long block (no manifolds). And the official Mitsubishi information suggests the 4B11 is 12.5 kg lighter than the 4G63. Wondering if anyone has weighed these engines, (or calculated a weight based on weight of parts)?

I believe the dry weight of the 4B11T is around 260lbs. That would put the 4G63 at 285lbs but it really depends on what you are including in those numbers. Add in all the ancillary devices and the numbers will be higher. Block only will obviously be lighter.

(Now I just need to find the weight of some of the older Mitsubishi engines, 1980s 4G54 2.6 liter and 1970s 4G32 1.6 liter.)
