when concept x first was announced back in 2005-2006 they said a new engine was in the works

 

Alot of manufactures do joint venture to cut cost. That's probably what Mistubishi and Hyundai did.

I don't know why people are complaining so much about it. I mean don't you think that Mitsubishi will put 20 something year of knowledge from the 4G63 into the new 4b11T?

Look at the cars with the new engines in the past.

MR2 4ag -> 3S The MR2 with the turbo engine makes crazy HP.
Supra MKIII (7MGTE) -> MIV (2JZ) Who's going to say the MKIV Supra isn't a power monster

Mitsubishi isn't dumb, I'm pretty sure that the 4b11T is just an aluminum version of the 4G63.
