Tuning Question

Hey everyone,

I have been doing a bit of research on this and my issue seems kind've unique to the p1235 code as I've daily driven my car for about 6k miles now since I bought it without issue. Last night this code came up on my drive home, so I checked it / cleared it, then today on my way to work when in 3rd gear, I rolled into the throttle at about 4500rpm merging onto the highway and it popped on and went into limp mode. Before this I got on it a few times in 1st/2nd and no issues.

Its not temperature related, since it was in the 70s a week or so ago one night and the car ran great, its 88° this morning as it has been the whole summer and this came on randomly. Nothing is any different today than yesterday or the day before that. Hot and humid as hell.

Checked all the vac hoses and they appear fine. All still connected.

I just find it odd that this is happening randomly.

I do know the car has been tuned at some point because some idiot set the redline to 8500 (found this by accident once while autocrossing), and it has an aftermarket boost solenoid and Injen hardpipes. All the mods I see.

Can I just hook the factory boost solenoids back up? Would that cause an issue?

But I have not changed anything over the past 6k miles besides plugs and oil and this randomly happened...so any advice I'm open to hear.
I'd like to get another tune that I know the nature of...and bring the redline down to stock, but, this being my daily, and not having the funds for a tune atm...that's out for the right now. But I don't think that's the issue.

if it has an aftermarket boost solenoid then it definitely got tuned at 1 point. I highly suggest getting it tuned. looks like it was not tuned that well or parts got removed before selling.

I got it from a dealership so I'm really not sure as far as that goes. I do know it was just out of warranty and has all its services recorded from Mitsubishi up until I got it, so I assumed it was pretty much stock all that time.

But I just find it weird that I've driven it for such a long time before it caused an issue. Its only at 68k miles, so I doubt the MAS is bad.
