3" Test pipe to stock 2.5" flange c/b

Anyone run this setup or something similar where you have the 3" flange on the test pipe to the 2.5" catback's flange?

I ran into this issue which is why I decided to sell my Depo Racing 3" test pipe. I was getting a bad exhaust leak due to the flange size mismatch. A 3" gasket is too big for the 2.5" flange and the 2.5" stock gasket leaked as it was too small for the test pipe.

All of which is pretty obvious. Just wondering if there are any good solution besides custom work being done.

I really would like to find a 1/4" flange tapered from 3" to 2.5" and run appropriate gaskets on each side. So far not finding anything.

Thanks.

Not sure why you had such an issue, that sucks!

I was running my stock CBE with my ETS test pipe for a while, no issues at all. I actually had just gotten a 3" gasket from Autozone or something, not even a good gasket.

I now run my ETS test pipe (3" flange) and a Tomei CBE (2.75" flange) with the supplied Tomei gasket, no leaks so far after about 2 months.

ETS makes an exhaust flange adapter for this very reason though.

Contact MAPerformance to see what they can do for you. I have a MAP 3" testpipe matted to what should be a 2.5" Magnaflow cbe, but they offered a 3" mod, basically cutting a section of the Magnaflow's 2.5" tapper on the midpipe off and adding a 3" portion.

Shekaar beat me to it. Just get the ETS flange, it is exactly what you need.
