duty life of oem spark plugs??
thanks for the feed back letsgtthisdone i should probably change them then and im a bit confused about the gap thing i think there is some kind of meter of gapping callibrator but does that apply for thigs like altitude id really like to know im at 1500 meters - 5085 feet above sea level??? and some times go higher
Altitude makes no difference.
When gapping X plugs, or any iridium plug, only use feeler gauges. Don't use the "gap gauges" that are about the size of a US quarter that they sell for 99 cents at autozone, they will break/bend the iridium electrode.

Two of my friends with X's had the porcelain break off, but thankfully it stayed together and just slid down and rested on the ground strap. Made for a very poor running car, and lots of anti lag style back firing out of the exhaust.
The misfortunes of a few do not mean X's need to change every 10k lol.
The vast majority of X owners don't change them at intervals like that. Especially at bolt-on power levels, and if the car isn't used for track purposes.

I say relatively because I've never seen properly tuned cars break the porcelains like the Evo X does. Idk if it a QC issue with the plugs, or if something about the X motor breaks them.
The 10,000 mile rec isn't mine, it's English Racing's. So, I find it funny that you, and the other nay sayers, saying it's wrong...
