Clutch/flywheel and CMC Install prices?

I had a Competition Clutch Stage 2 clutch installed in my car and after about 30k miles it decided to die on me. I brought it to a shop near my house and decided to do a Competition Clutch stage 3 clutch with an upgraded flywheel as well as the MAP CMC for which they quoted be $3,800 out the door. Does this seem a bit high? It was dyno'd at about 340 hp with the bolt ons that I have,.

What all does that $3800 include? Clutch, CMC, and labor?

Lots of shops around me quote around $900-1000 for a clutch install, my shop is a bit less though. Definitely not a cheap install.

Clutch, CMC, Labor, and all of the fluids. It's just the quote and they are hoping to get it done under that. Just figured that parts were $1100-1200 + labor for $1300-1400 + $100 max for fluids = $2,700 or so. $3,800 seems a little on the high side

It definitely does seem a bit on the high side, even including everything in the quote. Shop around with the reputable guys near you, see if you can find something a little more reasonable.

That's quite pricey and I would say you're getting ripped off if you get done there. I took my other X to a reputable tuner shop and only costed me close to 2k with comp clutch, flywheel, and cmc altogether.

I bought all my own parts (comp clutch stage 3, lightweight flywheel and CMC) so whatever that total was from MAP, the labor for the install was $1300 for installation of everything.
