Amsoil vs. Redline Cocktail

Which do you guys prefer? I've had the cocktail in for about a year and noticed its always hard to shift cold, and near impossible during winter. Does Amsoil perform better in cold as others mention? I've been reading threads all morning and it seems some people have luck and some don't. Just wanna gauging interest in both fluids.

They're both very good. Neither one will magically cure difficult and notchy shifting.

I had a feeling the notchiness would be here to stay, it just sucks that you literally have to shove the car into gear when it starts to get cold up here in the northeast.

Yup the cocktail did pretty much nothing...but it was due for a fluid change anyways.

My trans is built and it still doesn't shift well cold. Just the nature of the beast. I run amsoil 75w90. Shifts pretty nice once its got some heat in it though. Still not as good as the trans in my civic though...lol

Mine isn't as bad as it was new. I have all the transmission bushings from either AMS or Torque Solutions, and Amsoil fluids. It's still a bit notchy, but worlds better over stock.

Just curious, did you notice any changes with the bushings alone? I was thinking about getting a set myself.

I did. I installed the underhood bushings first, then a short shifter, then the shifter base bushings, and fluids somewhere in there. Each piece made it a little better.

Bushings are defintely worth it, they're very cheap and easy to install.
