Clutch Recommendations,
Yeah so I'm sure someone has already asked this but I couldn't find a thread within the first 3 pages. My clutch has begun to slip and I'm in the market for aftermarket bits. I'm running a '12 GSR pretty much stock. I want to throw in a GTX3076r and some 1000 injectors. I have an ETS intercooler already, 3 prong GrimmSpeed so yeah. What would you recommend for an aftermarket clutch? Not really into multi disk because of price and life span, but I may be persuaded into it lol. I'm not gonna stop with the Garret and injectors either maybe build the internals etc, gotta find another car to make my daily first
Thanks,
Thomas

ACT HDSS. I was in your boat before and researched then decided on the ACT clutch. I also resurfaced the flywheel instead of buying a lightweight one. Taking the transmission off of the block is a pain. Just a heads up if you are doing it yourself.
How much power/torque are you putting through it with ask the stood in your signature?
I have had this clutch for aprx 65k miles, with basic bolt ons (I/TBE/EBCS), and whiles it's lasted this long, I wish I would have went another step and half up. There's really no launching with this clutch, only rolling romps as it will slip. Great daily though and easy on the knee if you do a lot of stop n go. If you plan to go beyond bolts ons and want to be able to launch, go with something else.

The Exedy Stage 1 is as drivable as stock and good for 320-ish wheel tq.
The ACT HD street is good for nearly 500tq and still pretty drivable. It's probably going to be my next clutch for the X.
Whatever you get, make sure it's a sprung hub assembly. And if you're driving it on the street, stay away from the twin and triple disc setups. They WILL warp and then eat all your synchros.
The puck clutches have very aggressive engagement and aren't so nice to drive on the street but you can launch the heck out of them. Of course, this just puts the abuse into the drivetrain and breaks stuff.

My vote is always been on the Exedy. I did some adventures with other clutches for different reasons. No success I ended up always with the Exedy.
For me the best is the Exedy Twin, but its unnecessary for stockish power. Does gives a great holding power with a very good clutch feel.
Easy to drive, and great for a drive train. Win written all over on it.
The worst clutch I ever had is the ACT.

Exedy Twins are great in the Evo X.
Similarly, I will never put in another ACT.
I don't have a large amount of experience with aftermarket clutches. I've rocked the Execy Stage 2 since late 2011.
It may only be possibly related but... I'm only now starting to have issues with it. I have to open it up and figure out if it's my clutch or flywheel that's causing the slip.
