Clutch QUESTION

I have a Exedy Stage 2 HD, stock flywheel. I got this installed back in 2012 and I dont drive the car during winter or no track events whatsoever, id say its my DD. The EXEDY Clutch has approx 22,000 KM on it, and Im NOT a clutch driver at all.

Here are my complaints

I had this since day 1 -

1st- Uphills once engaged 1st gear, just lifting the pedal slowly you feel vibrations/Chatter on the clutch pedal... but No issues while cruising or and changing gears on the hwy. the vibrations mostly Only happens on 1st gear, - PS: Mechanic told me to break it in first, which I did but still happening after 22,000K. Sigh

2nd- NOW my clutch pedal seems higher almost to the very top.. before 2 inches off the floor and car engages.. now it almost to the highest point before the car actually moves forward.. - Can my clutch pedal height be adjusted? is that even possible?

When engaged the it doenst pop out of gear though..

But Does this sound like I need a new clutch?

I need some advice guys, please I need your input.

PS: Ive upgraded my CMC clutch cylinder if that matters or related.

Thanks!

Depending on which aftermarket CMC you have you should be able to adjust it to make engagement lower. Under the dash you'll see where the CMC connects to the clutch pedal, You can screw the ball joint thing in so the clutch travel is shorter. I went from very top engagement to just about 2 inches. Just make sure you don't have any clutch drag after you adjust it. (Put the car in first on a flat road and floor it, if it moves, you're dragging.)

There is not any easy adjustment for the pedal on the Evo X with the stock Clutch Master Cylinder.

So depending on which aftermarket CMC you’ve upgraded to you may be able to adjust the pedal pretty simply.

I’d start there, could be any number of things but that would be where I would start.

Please let me know if you need any help finding info on adjusting your pedal for your particular CMC.

Warm Regards,
Jerrod
