Regarding New injen evo1800

Sup guys, anyone used injen's new evo1800 intake yet? I'm curious to see the actual gain and the build quality of it. I'm extremely interested in buying one but I'd like to see how it performs. Its either injens new intake or the ETS intake that I want. Anyways, lets me know guys and gals. Thanks!

Stick with ETS. Been proven time and time again

It may be that the new Injen intake rocks as is the best there is. BUT, at this part of the product cycle - discontinued Evo X, you are better off buying something proven and will be easy to resell. And let's face it every Evo X owner will be selling parts at one point.

So I am interested and I hope somebody tests it first. I have to imagine that there was reason they did a new intake this late in the game. But who knows?

I think it's sexy. I would have bought that if I needed an intake for the stock turbo. I would, however, really like to have something like that housing for my 3" CBRD intake. I bet it makes an excellent heat shield and draws in cool air from the grille. Kind of like the AEM, but much nicer.

I have one and so far I like it a lot. If you want the BOV"PSST" this is not the intake for you. zero noise. Kind of a pain to install Vs other intakes. Made decent power ( though i never dyno'd any other intakes on the car). Very high build quality. I imagine it would need to be modded for large aftermarket turbos. Pricey, but I wanted a sealed intake with a CAI feature so this fit the bill.

Did you have to remove the front bumper to install?

Yes you have to remove the front bumper to fit the front half of the intake section behind the front grill.
