Why are we going back and fourth about what warranty Ford offers and honours on their Mustangs? They don't void warranties, because they know... supercharged or not, the things are going to end up on their roof or wrapped around a tree before they even make it back for their first oil change.

btw, what dealer was this? Stevens Creek?
Yes Stevens Creek dealer. They are apparently owned by Subaru or w/e. I have no idea since no one gives me clear cut answers. The corporate directly has on record a GM that no one their has heard of. These guys were very disrespectful. One of the guys were laughing because of my attempt to get a warranty claim honored on a tuned car. I recalled them being nicer when I was a customer trying to buy the car.

This unit can be rebuilt. Infact, Jacks Transmission offers a complete rebuild for the EVO X, the only place that offers this service. I did ask around my area and haven't found anyone that would even do differential rebuilds. A couple shops that did, said they will never do it again due to sourcing bearings. Even the local Mitsubishi dealer told me, they will not do rebuilds since replacing differential is what they do to fix the problem. Initially, they wanted to charge me $6k+ and labor. After some negotiation, the service guy offer $3K for one but won't do the install (told me i'll have it take it elsewhere). I said, i wouldn't pay more than $1K due to the situation. He said no as if i was being unreasonable....

I'm sorry to hear that, but you gotta play the game !
These car companies will do any and everything to avoid a high dollar warranty repair, gotta read the fine print.
You gave them a reason not to service the car, but they should at least try to compromise and work something out
Power doesn't cause rust...
Mitusbishi can log how many seconds you hit redline. They can also detect if an access port was installed and flashed back to stock.

So the only way to get unnoticed is a stand-alone ecu right ?
You do anything to these newer cars and they tell on you..
