XS Power Open dump Downpipe

Hey guys so i decided to take a leap of faith and order the XS Power downpipe off ebay. I must say this thing looks AMAZING! Everything lined up perfectly when i test fitted to map ef2, welds look good, an all around solid looking piece. Also, it can be converted to use an external wastgate.

Just so everyone knows i am not affiliated with xspower in any way. I just wanted to share my experiance with the part. Someone asked where i got it and i had trouble searching it so this is the ebay item#112302678659.

Is that a big step in the opening to the wastegate dump pipe?

At best 5whp on a stock turbo and with those openings looking so small, I don't think this is even worth the money. Never understood why people buy Evo's and then get cheap parts.

As long as it works out for you, I don't see the problem. People on here tend to think only the most expensive parts are acceptable, or only one brand matters. Sure, certain things you need to do your research on, but others not so much. Why spend $1000 on an exhaust pipe when a $300 one works just as great? Keep in mind this is a metal tube, not a precision component.

Amen to that!!!!! I didnt end up using this dp but i would have. I ended up doing a maperformance vband kit with a cea pte6262. It was 2k-3k cheaper than anything ets, ams, or cbrd is offering and i made 575/420 on a stock block/cams/clutch evo x. To each his own, thats what i say. That extra 2k is going to buy the recaro's my 2015 didnt come with lmao.

To some extent things are overpriced (like intercooler piping that copies the factory routing).

Other times, companies do real research and design instead of churning out poor copies without a nice radius cut on the flange. Then they price their parts to cover those costs and still make a profit.

Oh without a doubt, I 100% agree with you. I would never cheap out on critical parts like injectors and such. But for the most part, a $300 metal tube will perform just as well as a $1000 metal tube

BTW, if anyone here uses Autodesk, theres a great computational fluid dynamics module that you can use to simulate various exhaust components and their effect on flow. I was bored at work one day and decided to see the effect of a 2.5" exhaust, 3" exhaust and a 3" exhaust with a 2.5" flange. It's pretty cool to see a simulation of exhaust flow
