Turbo Options for Quick Spool Times and Power
New to the forum so I'm bombarding it with questions, mostly to talk cars and pick experienced members' brains. My question is: What rpm are you generating peak boost at and what kind of power are you seeing? Love the idea of generating peak boost early for drivability with the ability to produce some pretty decent power. Would love to know what turbos you like for this application and hear you brag about your setups.

This will be perfect. Make sure to get the Tial 1.30 AR hot side too.

This. Spool usually has an inverse relationship to power so there's no magic setup for TONS of power at low RPM. Plus, if you put your power goals out there you might actually get someone in that power range to post their setup. Otherwise, just look at the Dyno Results forums if you want an idea about power/spool on any given setup.
So cruel! I love it
All of the above said, it's not just about turbo selection but supporting mods as well. Exhaust, cams, and even IC piping can affect spool and power. There's also the age old solution to add nitrous or a supercharger to the mix for low RPM power with a big turbo for the top....

Please don't do that bro, you will never spool that turbo. The turbo is too big and hotside is also too big.

lol...
In all seriousness get one of these and call it a day. 400-430 on pump gas, around 475 on E85, very close to stock like spool.

Hard to beat that nicely matched turbine/compressor design.
If you want to go crazy for spool (like I did), a 9 blade TD05 with a GTX style 20g compressor is wicked fast spool and will most likely get you 450whp on E85. I am running 93octane on a conservative self tune and am kissing or at 400whp (from 220whp stock).
