Myself 1... Dealership 0
So I just bought a 13' Evo X gsr from dealership bone stock with 43k on it, they thought they were getting the better of me. I heard a whine /whirring from back of car while coasting in gears 1, 2 and 3 while test driving (obv rear differential needed to be replaced). Everything else checked out great. Told them ide be back. Did some "warranty research" power train transferable 5y/60k. Talk them down 2k and bought car. Brought it back 2 days later to have "sound"checked out...sure enough it was rear differential?. They're replacing it under warranty 8k total job. The feels man...
LOL, that doesn't hurt the dealer ship one bit. Mitsubishi (the factory) pays the dealership for the repairs. Dealers are independent business that pretty much sell cars on consignment from the factory. So, the dealer took $2k off the selling price of your car, then they probably profited $3k doing that $8k warranty.
