Hi everyone! first post as I have been a long time lurker lol. Just looking to see if any of you have ran across an issue similar to mine or can give me some advice. Long story short, this is my first clutch replacement. 2014 Evo x GSR full bolt ons, FP green, E85, etc. Previous owner had a comp stage 3 clutch in it, and I recently just ordered another Competition Stage 3 clutch and had the flywheel resurfaced. So I Installed the new pressure plate, new throw out bearing, torqued everything to spec, etc. and when I threw the trans up and mounted the bell housing up/tightened it down, I see that my throw out bearing is not engaging properly. I used all the new components that came with the new Comp stage 3 clutch, including the new TOB. It clicks into place, but it will not "lock" itself. Obviously when I pull back on the clutch fork it should not pop the TOB out. However, the TOB seems to be "clicking" in place properly...How come it won't lock? Did any metal fall out when you opened the inspection grommet? This seems similar to my situation where the wave spring broke and it doesn't truly lock into place.

None at all man! that is what mind boggles me. Everything went on smoothly..

However, I am thinking that I might need to tighten the pressure plate bolts down a little bit more, or put ALL the bell housing bolts in and torque them to spec? Maybe the TOB is not engaging due to the bell housing not being torqued all the way around? It is tight and sealed, but perhaps not enough?

Or maybe even apply more force than just my hand to see if it actually sticks (on the fork lever)

Yeah this weekend will suck lol. Especially if I have to pull this trans again by myself
