Hey guys... new to the site! Tryna figure out a good cam for my evo8 im beginning to slowly build for track season next year.... my evo 8 is my dd but im tryna find good solid cams.... i will be running it on the strip a handful of times during the year.... i was reading online that gsc s2 cams are good for overal power and reliability...they lose low end power but makes up on the top end... whats yalls opinion and experience with other cams?! Gsc s2 or kelford 272.

I have s2 with a fp red and see 30 psi by 4700 rpm. And pulls to redline [8300] rpm

Depends on how rough you want the idle to be. The GSC S2's have a very rough, attention grabbing idle in the Evo 8.

 

My car idles great, never stalls and is quiet the exhaust plays a big roll

 

My car never stalls either, drivability wasn't what I was referring. Some people simply don't like the rough/choppy idle once they have to deal with it every day for a month or two.

Just off the top of the head...Apr headstuds,tomei turbo,o2 dump ,full catback,upgraded piping,gfb bov,street tuned at around 320hp... gonna be getting 1000cc injectors, stronger clutch, beehive valve springs and retainers. Thats why im tryna get good helpful input on cams before i make this bulk purchase for when i open up head... mannn evo building is way more pricey than building a honda.. hehe
