I have a 2008 Evo X and the AYC/ACD motor has dead spots. I know I can send it off to be fixed but has anyone found a replacement for them yet? It looks to me just like a typical ABS pump motor. There can't be to many companies making those things, just need to figure out what other cars the motor is used on and hit up the junk yards. Just brain storming here. Thanks

 

I believe Mitsubishi extended the pump to 10 years warranty. Have you talk to the local dealer to see if they will cover it? I have a friend with 2008 and his pump was replaced under warranty.

 

Warranty is only good to 100,000 miles.

Update!!

So I took the motor off and blew it out and banged it around with a hammer to clean out any carbon. The motor now works 100%. It looks like the issue was actually the oil seal. So now I have to find one of those.

Also as I mentioned about the ABS motor swap it seems as if Russia is already doing it.
