Fuel System Setup

I have a check engine light in my car which shows a P0300 code for running fuel lean. My car is setup for daily driving and doesn't put down more than 390 whp with a stock head, full AMS bolt ons and an EF4 turbo.

I plan on upgrading my fuel system to be able to run more power/ flex fuel. I will begin with the AMS fuel rail coupled with a pressure regulator kit. My question is what size injectors should I run without going past safe daily driving, especially since I'm running lean off power and at idle? Should I run a double pump system or a single large pump and why? Is there anything else that I'll need for the fuel system other than the standard flex fuel necessities when I go that route?

In the future I'm going to build the head and replace the turbo with a gen 2 6262 or something similar.

Thanks,
Kevin

P0300 is a random misfire not a lean code.
You wont need a rail or fpr.
You can run a single pump for now. A wally 450 should be plenty for 500+ with a proper rewire for 14 volts and a hobb switch.
Im not to familiar with the x and what mods need to be done to run the 450. On the ct9a you need to linda ghetto rig it in.

Heck a wally 255 will suit your needs for now even on e85.

Sorry I should've clarified that the P0300 series code was paired with the P0171 code. What is the benefit of a dual pump over a large single pump like the Walbro 450? I currently run the 255.

The lean code could be caused by vaccum leaks or exhaust leaks.

Double pumper is needed when a single pump runs out of steam. Big horsepower setups require the double pumper. Like 700 hp + set ups.

well first off what type of fuel are you running now and what type of fuel will you be running.
what are your end goals for the car saying this because no need to buy lets say fic 1100cc injecotrs now but when you swap turbos you want to make 600 or whatever you should size everything in concordance to your fuel your using and your end power goal for the car.

seeing you are on a ef4 and making 390 i am geussing it is on pump 93 gas. if your plan on staying there and never using race fuel or e85 then i would do a walbro 450 you need a kit from like map to hold the pump inside the oem fuel hanger and i would put a fpr on there just to be safe. as far as fuel injectors if you plan on staying on pump fic 1100 are good for like over 500 on pump and about 550 ish on e85. if you plan on going more then that i would move to the 1650 fic injectors.
and last you took your car out of safe dd once you put a turbo on it. bolt on flex fuel evo is the best and safest set up for a dd once you start putting turbos and doing head work the dd factor is gone.

I am currently running 93 octane and plan to go E85 Flex Fuel with the DrivenFab kit. I was thinking of running 1650 or 1700 injectors with the AMS fuel rail and FPR. My thought is that the 1700 will still be usable for light driving. My engine is a built 2.0L so although I understand I'm taking risks with upgrading it, I'm not too concerned because I'm not going for crazy power. I'm looking more at a smaller turbo in conjunction with E85 to get good spool and power which the head work will only help with. Thanks for the input!
