Unfortunately E85 isn't readily available where I'm at. I'll look into those turbos though. Thanks for the suggestions.

What are your feelings on the MAP EF2 now that you want to change it ? It cannot meet your HP goals or cannot meet your spool goals (faster?) ?
What is your current setup making? When you take into account that your wanting to stay within stock block limits, the list options shortens considerably. With the power goals stated (400-450) I don't know why you WOULDN'T stay stock frame. There isn't a need to go into the big league setup of an EFR or Precision.

There is an E85 station in Fairfield. I use it every time I go through there.

I no longer live there now. I'm over on the East Coast now.

I've enjoyed the MAP EF2 a lot. Spools close to stock which I like. I'd just like more HP with a turbo that can be reliable on stock block and viable in the event I do build the block.

I think you would really like the GEN 2 GTX3071R bolt on. https://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchan...egory_Code=EVX

Do you happen to know the spool characteristics?

The Gen 1 was very much like the MHI-18k. Gen 2 is supposed to spool the same, if not better, but with more power overall.

Gen 1 GTX3071R:

When you factor price, the 18k is RIGHT THERE for making stock block limited power, with room to grow later. Spools very quick without choking the exhaust side. My turbo setup spools faster, but it limits the top end. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. Go for the 18k and don't look back.

I'd agree with you if he didn't already have an EF2. The 18K isn't going to be much of an upgrade power wise.

I second this. Anyone who cares about his Evo would prefer the MHI 18K for its reliability.

Very true. I'm actually surprised there is still a working EF2 out in the wild

I missed the MAP Evo X turbo craze. What exactly is the EF2 ? Details please!
I tried searching but I cannot find the specs for the compressor or turbine. Just some claim of 450whp.
