18k On The Way!

I'm stoked. I've been researching various setups for a while now, and the 18k was the winner for me. Who here installed theirs?

Is it worth getting different oil feed lines or anything, or is the OE setup fine? Also, I'm assuming a new exhaust manifold gasket is a must correct?

Bonus: Post your videos of these beaut in action!

Congrats Dude, its a great little turbo I'm more then happy with mine for now any way. I used OE set up for oil feed and reused the exhaust gasket - but if you have one ordered already, replace it for the new one, piece of mind.
If you have E85 available i strongly suggest you go that route also. It compliments this turbo really nicely, helps unleash all of its potential.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info! Did you do the install? If so how was it? I’m hoping I can bang this out in a weekend.

I love my MHI 18k. OEM oil and coolant lines are just fine. And yes replace all gaskets. The removal isn't fun but on the bright side the install is easier than the removal. The removal of the stock turbo and manifold and the install of the 18k and my new manifold took maybe 10 hours from start to finish. That was with me taking my time and taking breaks for lunch and dinner. This turbo really wakes up on E85 so I suggest you get tuned for that if it's available. Feel free to read my 18k thread.

Will do on the new gaskets. I wish e85 was available here. The closest station is about 50 minutes away, 70 with traffic

I’ll check out your thread now, thanks!
