I bought a bunch of parts off a guy which included what he said is an FP Red built by Chris Robinson. Can anyone help me confirm that this is actually and FP Red, From what I can tell it just looks like a factory turbo but I don't know what to look for. I want to send it off to FP to have it rebuilt and cleaned up. Just want to see if you guys have any info. Thanks in advance.

It would be a Chris Robbins "Red Spec" turbo. It would have a 12cm stainless steel turbine housing, The compressor wheels are billet aluminum. And the turbine shaft/wheel is inconel. The best way to check is to measure the wheels though.

 

It's not an FP red, and they do not use any FP parts. It's a knock off built with chinese parts, and the guy dishonestly markets them as "green/red/black spec" in an attempt to piggy back off of FP's reputation.

 

Really appreciate the replies, I only posted because it seemed off and just wanted to be sure. Don't think the guy I bought it off of knew either because he got it from a friend and never installed it on his own car. Kind of a kick in the ***** but still wasn't a bad deal after looking at the costs. Turbo was just kind of extra if I decided to sell.
