Something odd happened to me today and I am looking for your thoughts and experience.
My mechanic making a diff fluid change of my transfer case. When he removed the drain plug oil started draining out and after few seconds something dropped into the oil bucket. Digging into the oil we found what appears to be 2/3rds part of some cap (or whatever that is)... Any ideas what that is? I don't recall when this was last serviced. Maybe never...
