Is OEM valves or aftermarket valves better for replacement

 

I would have a machine shop check the head to make sure there was no damage from the bent valve. Then you can determine if it's just a "swap out some valves" job or if you have to do more like replace valve guides, etc.

The OEM valves are actually really good in the 4B11.

 

Assuming the head is ok, just swap what's broken with OEM? Easy enough

 

It'll still need to go to a machine shop for valve job, etc. Can't just "swap" the valve out.

 

It's definitely going to the machine shop. I just needed some advice on whether to bring the machine shop OEM parts or aftermarket once I hear back from them on what needs to be replaced

 

GSC valves have been flawless for me in several builds. For <500whp we do all stainless. Over 500, or in a race car, we go to the super alloy exhaust valve for gsc, or a complete set of Ferrea Comp Plus valves.
