Stock Exhaust Manifold Question / New Member

How’s it going y’all, finally bought one of my dream cars and thought I’d finally join! I do have some questions regarding the stock exhaust manifold. I’ve heard from multiple people that it tends to crack and was wondering what other problems I should be aware of. Car is currently sitting at 15k on the dash thanks in advance!

Welcome! I've heard of this cracking from friend but his car was modified and he had much more milage than yours. So I wouldn't worry. If you are willing to tune the car though I would recommend different manifold.

Hello / Welcome @XEvoX13 What exactly did you buy?

With only 15K miles & your screen name sounds like an Evo X?

Cheers, Joe

The manifold will crack, but I believe it is MORE likely to crack the COLDER the climate is you live in. The manifold temperature snaps from SUPER hot to SUPER cold is what does a number on materials. I remember my dash reading -4F and obviously after driving for a while the manifold is hot AF. When it cracks you have TWO options for cast stainless bolt in replacement manifolds that will never fail; MAP and ARTEC.
