My friend translated that blog entry:
Sound Check
It's been a while, but today's topic is the Evo 10!
Regarding the sound level of the muffler, I had previously described it as "quiet" in a previous blog entry, but then forgot about it! In my last test, I was able to measure the sound level of the muffler.
When Idling: OEM 65db / ARC 66db
5000 RPM: OEM 86db / ARC 85db
We got these splendid results. At this level, there's nothing more to say. When you go WOT, I think it may actually become a bit louder...but that's that!! In any case, I'm able to leave you with these good results.

I am pretty sure ARC can make the single tip muffler straight thru system SRT-4 style if they really wanted to. But keep in mind that Japan has very strict emission laws too. Most of their exhaust systems have to be street legal = dB/noise compliant, pass emission codes etc. Also people who buy ARC stuff is not only paying for the highest quality material stuff, they are also paying for the hand-made Craftsmanship.
Hell, I am sure ARC can just jig up a proto-type right away, mass producing it in stainless steel setup in China and make large profit by selling them cheap here. But they build and market their products with different philosophy. Different strokes for different people.
Don't knock it because you simply can't justify the pricing. Maybe somebody who appreciate this type of stuff will?
