Glad you all enjoyed the photo's
I'm sure there's going to be ways to reduce its weight, but coming from the factory I did see a lot of plastic parts already on the car...
Good, it's worth to see it in person.... in pictures I had a different opinion, but after seeing it in person I actually wouldn't mind driving it...
They are and I now think that if someone got in it they wouldn't think of it as a cheap car. You know how you get a chick in your EVO and they look around and are like.... "Hmmm...." And think it's a bottom of the line lancer that's fast... So yeah, I'm happy to see the improvements, especially in the seats!!!! long trips are now easy to handle!!!
They had a 2008 Lancers and Eclipses.... Nothing to wow after the X..
I asked and no one could tell me... What I really want to know is how much do those rim weigh
I agree!!!
I hear you... I'm thinking about buying the X as my daily driver to use my IX as a weekend / racecar... Now about what you said, something you might not known is this:
Metallurgy - LAST MINUTE ADDITIONS
The internal components of the new Lancer Evolution's engine have been reinforced to withstand high levels of boost. The turbocharged version of the new 4B11 features a cross-drilled forged steel crankshaft that rotates in 4-bolt main bearing caps. Also unique to this engine are reinforced forged steel connecting rods that are attached to pistons unique for the application. The new engine's pistons are gravity castings made of a high strength aluminum material designed for durability, and quiet operation, and also include a unique ring package optimized for this engine.

The unveiling was at 1pm yesterday....
It's going on now at the Orange County Convention Center, so you should go see it.... The X is still there!

Now that I am getting a bit older and more refined myself, it is deff going to be nice to drive to work everyday in something that fits my lifestyle better. Navigation, steering wheel controls, bluetooth, auto climate control, cruise control, and selectable automatic trans are all things that I long for now and then with my current IX. Even if the 4B11t can only handle 80% of what the 4G63t can in factory form, I will still more than likely be getting a X MR...just not until at least the second model year.

I assumed it was an input. I dont really have anything good to test it with, I'm looking for a cheap iPhone/iPod to Composite Cable to check.
Actually, if I can find my old digital camera box, I had tv-out cables for that. After work today I'll see if I can find them and plug it in and see what happens.

By far the best and most detailed pics i have seen. Great job on the camera work.
Anybody notice that there is no badge for the MR or am i just blind, the only visual cue would be the wheels i guess.

Glad you enjoyed the pics!
Out of 10, I would give 7 or 8 for X's interior.
Each person has different opinion and that makes something interesting. If you don't like the kind of interior such as camry, c-class, 3series and accord gives you when you ride them, go for IX. If you do, go for X.
X interior tends to give the feeling of luxury + sport ride. When you step into IX, you would feel the sport out of it. If you know about evo, you would say instantly; yes it would be better to have junk interior than junk stuff under the hood. Junk interior would give you the extra light to boost that beast machine. =)
Exterior wise, I love that "Shark" face from X but totally hate that butt. IX's butt are better and sexier than X. Also, it tends to copy Lexus IS? IMO.
