Amazing that you say that because I've heard many people say the same thing too. I'm in a toss up between the 335I and the X, but a BMW is always a BMW...
I didnt think we'd use that on our Outlander (the inputs are behind the console on it),but it's come in quite handy. Im working on restoring a house we bought and I often have our camera in the car and we look at the pics on the screen. I also often use the inputs for my Ipod.
You can also use any portable device with an output, although the MMI will also play DVDs.
I even had the camera hooked up one time and noticed that the screen shows the view the camera sees,I dont know what use that would be,but it was kind of neat.
Another thing that I havent seen someone mention in this forum yet is the lap timer. The Outlander has it,although you manually have to tap the screen each lap, lol.

It's not an automatic you idiot, it's a sequential twin clutch tranny. Automatics use torque converters and shift with all the speed of a turtle. These F1 style trannys shift with neck-snapping speed. Besides, there is also a heavy duty 5-speed.You really haven't read anything about this car have you?

Technically speaking it is not an automatic. Automatics have torque converters and have no mechanical link between the crankshaft and output shaft of the transmission. That's why they lose efficiency though heating the hydralic fluid. SST is truly a manual transmission (mechanically linked to crank by clutch disc) with computer controlled "automatic" clutch/shift control.
After driving a DSG Audi and GTI it feels like driving an automatic with a less slushy feel. I prefer to shift and operate the clutch pedal myself.

Ugh, god canexican you argumentative beaner, I didn't say that the SST was my preference, quite the opposite. I've already ordered the GSR 5 speed, because to me that's the only way to go. My point was that the twin clutch tranny definitely is NOT an auto, auto's use torque converters and shift slowly. Just because there is an AUTO mode, doesn't make it an auto. Formula 1 cars use these trannys, and I don't think that they would consider their cars "automatics." Stop arguing for the sake of arguing.
he sure is, isnt he
