Question Cali emissions Spec EVO X?

I might be buying an EVO X from South Coast if the dealers here in Seattle jack up the price but does anyone know if the EVO Xs in Cali will have special emissions compared to rest of U.S. (fed spec)

I read some threads on the forums going back several years and many members were saying no there is no special Cali spec EVO but some members said there were. Maybe a shop or dealer can help clarify?

you should be fine, If Cali people want to buy a car from out of state, they may need to check, but if you are buying car from California, you will be fine.

there is no cali and fed evos. all 2003+ Evo's within the U.S. are all Cali spec. The Fed adopted cali spec basically.

No, it didn't. A few other states did.

when the term "basically" is used, it doesnt mean they literally made cali spec into federal spec. You know what i meant, dont be so ****, tia.

Good call on buying in Cali. My freind here in Seattle did the same with his IX at SC, and I plan to go to SC too for a X if their prices are better.

BTW, its not that the Fed adopted Cali rules, its that the car manufacturers adopted Cali rules for all their cars because of the expense of creating different versions for different states. Thus, absolutely no difference between Cali evos and Washington Evos.
