No, nothing about misfiring, this is the quote from MT:

Well, the fact that they even posted the results is kind of BS, of course then again it's mitsu's fault for not having a healthy version for them to test. Small ecu mapping problem probably, but it's a shame that it wasn't sorted out before it was given to motor trend. Getting a bad review right before launch because of something stupid is a costly mistake for Mitsu. However, all the other reviews of the car have been very good, so perhaps people will overlook this. Hate for the initial numbers to be posted and be on record when I don't think it accurately conveys the car's true performance.

sad how alot of people on this forum paper race 
They look pass the shortened overhangs, the lowered engine, readvised dccd, wider stance etc.. that the new sti has. Magazines also repeatedly stated that the car is more stable than their predecessors.
A faster and better car doesn't necessarily mean 0-60 -_- *if were talkin about tenths* if it was seconds that be a different story

Ok let me ask you this question, if you had an 06 sti and you had an 08 do you think you would feel the difference between .3 tenths? Lets be honest Vin diesel 
Thats right... but i bet you would feel the difference in all the other things that i listed before you can even begin to feel .3 tenths... unless you are --^ you kno who
Lets just agree that your definition of Faster is different then mine because i don't live my life "A Quarter mile at a time" lol and i don't think "Winning is Winning regardless of tenths or seconds"
You can mod a car to gain tenths or secs but you cannot mod a car to have shortend overhangs, changed dccd, wider stance, lowered engine mounting and etc... which would lead to a better performer if you added the same *Speed Mods to both cars* That is why i keep saying the 08 sti is better.
Oh and you haven't driven the thing and your coming to a conclusion that it is slower, which means you ARE paper racing.

1) The issue isn't what I would feel or not feel
2) The things you listed are irrelevant when it comes to discussing objective performance data provided by various sources
3) Character assassination and multiple references to F&F do not add significance to your irrelevant arguments
Here let me give you the definition of straw man so you can try to aviod doing it in the future:
