If you'd RTFA (what is this, Slashdot?) you'd note that the dealership is charging MSRP for the vehicle, and that $1000 puts your name on a vehicle.

A: The actual MSPR of the cars hasn't been released from Mitsubishi Motors yet. We are expecting them to be $35,000 - $40,000 depending on the model. We will be selling them for the MSRP not the $45,000 the buy it now price is. I will let you know the prices and soon as they are released. Thanks.
This dealer DOES have a clue. The X will be a nice car, though not as mod friendly as the 4G63's. Give it time.
