That's a very unfortunate line to hear...

hmmm..hopefully edmunds does a comparison test with all 3, seeing as the gsr and MR are distinct enough to warrant it

It's pretty crappy when the PR guy says the IX was the last true Evo. While I agree with him, it sorta makes me think from here forward it's going to continue a downwards spiral in performance #'s.

Yeah, I am more than sure a Mitsubishi PR guy would say that Even if it's true, it wouldn't come from lips of any Mitsu rep, they try to market the Evo as a performance car, saying/admitting things like this would destroy their sales.

ok, it's not like im making it up. go on the socalevo forums under the long beach meet thread. its not like he pulled me to the side and said it
also, for the 1st 2 hrs, he couldnt stop praising the x. how its much more of a better ride, you dont feel the bumps in the road as much, the paddles are great. thats how the topic of ix is the last true race car came up. he told us the new direction the x is going in, its older and different audience and all that. basically someone who has never been to a track can take the x there, (at least the MR one) and be good.
it shifts for you at the optimal time, the steering is great, not much of a driver needed.
hence, why he said IX is the last true race car.

haha, what also was a badass quote was when the edmunds guy said he liked the sti better cuz he can fit all his camera equipment better. haha.
performance = evo, storage = hatch
