How many VIII/IX owners are getting the X?
I am keeping my evo and pasting it down to my son in 2020
Also I am not buying anymore Mitsubishi cars....much better makes out there like Lexus, BMW, Audi, Honda...Ford =P
I also don't forsee myself purchasing another Mitsu product. By the time the Evo IX is paid off, a C6 ZR1 may be affordable...
utah-evo hit the nail on the head. The X has made its way into a different demographic. It definitely isn't true to the traditional Mitsu. racing heritage, even though I don't think it's a bad car at all.
Porsche enthusiasts were furious, rightly so, at the whole Cayenne introduction. They had no need to delve into suv depths.. other than greater market presence and bigger profits.
Thats all Mitsu. are doing. I've got every confidence that the WRC will put the true Evo back on track.
Us 'purists' are going to have to be patient and ride this out. Maybe this new semi-luxury division needs the 'Evolution' springboard for a couple of years until it can branch out on its own - and return the raw Evolution to its rightful state.
