Mitsu confirmed that they want more female buyers to choose their last desirable car, the EVO, and that is why they messed it up and it is not as great as the 9. All that I stated is true even if it hurts your feelings.

Someone said my car is a chick car...LOL most cars are chick cars now, chicks are driving everything they see men driving now... My car is a basic BMW E46 that looks great, if comfortable drives and handles great was very affordable. It is not as fast as many other models but thats fine with me since I dont race or track my cars. OH and I would have gotten an EVO 9 but they did not bring over the auto version that is available in japan...
Buddy! You rant and rave in every thread your little fingers can type in, bashing the X for how 'slow' and under-performing it is, then say you wouldn't buy a IX because it wasn't avail. stateside with an automatic!!!
Am I missing something here? Let's break it down:
1. Mitsu. is trying to attract buyers who would normally look at a BMW or Audi (you own a BMW 323i). CHECK!
2. The Evo X is now avail. with an SST auto and you only drive automatics. CHECK!
3. According to you the X is underpowered and under-performing (again, you drive a underpowered base model BMW 323i) CHECK!

So in conclusion it looks like you my friend are exactly who Mitsubishi wants to sell a X to! Don't fight it man!

Just terrible...this thread makes us all look bad. We need to get the hate threads under control and make them more constructive and less will (semi unfounded) rants. The car is not here and until it is, we need to keep in mind everything is pure speculation/opinion.

As far as females buying the car, of course it is going to be a prominently male car. Always has been, probably always will be. But to say no female will buy it because they want a a fancy brand to go with their fancy shoes and purse is just horrible and ignorant. I would imagine that more females will buy/drive the X than previous generations due to its more refined nature. How many more we will not know for a while. Could be 1 percent more, or could be even or less.

But seriously, try to keep the speculative rants to a minimum unless they are constructive

Yes I like the EVO X I like how it looks and the sst and i dont need tons of power in a car my only problem is that the X seem over priced at $40K out the door. I think it is worth $30K out the door... I want the car but I dont wanna be upside down as soon as I drive off the lot.

there is the Mini S for girls general.
THe EVO for mens or girls who like to drive and race. Also willing to sacrifice comfort etc. for performance. Some is out there like that. We respect them. But making the speach about we try to attract more female drivers, is belongs the SUV and a minivan market, period. Or the luxury cars.
The REAL RALLY car /like the EVOLUTION/ never been designed to be attractive. It's been designed for race. And when they put them on the market ,they water it down for street, not the other way around.

evo cant be a 30k car with all those high techs in handling and ****. a stripped MR should be around 37k and a fully loaded around 39-40k. The one I ordered has no Navi but has the rest, 38k.

You'll be upside down? Apparently, you can't drive an Evo.

The car has a LOT of stuff in it, lots of tech, lots more features and do hickeys you bmw guys are used to, and an automatic option.

It's totally your type of car if you want power, if not, then DON'T BUY IT.

LOL. =P just messin' with ya.

turn around, get into your POS 323i and head to work to put in some overtime to pay for all of your BMW service dept bills/

oh, and dont come back, no one will miss you

Edit. Sorry, just a little peed off, got back from voting place and they told me i wasnt registered, but my wife was, we registered together, so now i dont vote in primary unless i go back and register, might do it tonight.

anyhow, anyone, can buy any car, look at what youre driving, a chick car, (my wifes aunt drives same model) so i am sure some chicks or moms will drive the X

OR they want something huge and high off the ground with a big chrome front grille.

Simply... The EVOX looks to much like the regular POS lancer and performs too poorly to be targeted at the $40K car buyer...
