Red face X-Conclusion (they want women)

Poor mitsu does not realize that women that can afford to drop $40K on a car (or have a man that can drop $40K on a car for them) are not looking at an economy brand like mitsubishi... They want something they can brag to their girlfriends about, they want something with a name badge that is easily recognizable to shallow materialistic posers at starbucks.. OR they want something huge and high off the ground with a big chrome front grille.

Simply... The EVOX looks to much like the regular POS lancer and performs too poorly to be targeted at the $40K car buyer...

yeah, I agree. Every post over and over about how Mitsubishi and the Evo are overpriced and suck. Give it a rest already.

And from a cat who drives a 323i. What a chick car. Every other one is driven by some secretary or a high school kid.

Don't forget this article...

http://www.motherproof.com/2007/12/mistubishi-lanc.html

Here's the best quote from that article...

Dan Kuhnert, vice president for marketing and sales for Mitsubishi North America, says the Evo’s “high-performance engine, sports-car handling dynamics and striking design … will appeal to enthusiasts worldwide — for those who desire a daily driver with street credentials as well as those planning weekend track action.” What he’s trying to say is that moms everywhere can drive the shark-like Evo to the grocery store and to pick up their children from school, but in between those things can go out on a track and tear it up. That’s where you’ll find me.
Yes, the guys in Marketing should be taken out back and shot.

Forgive me if i sound a little out spoken, but what the hell does women dropping 40K on a car, lol women would drop 40k on what they think are killer shoes or purses if they. My girlfriend is a prime example. Women, Men? doesnt matter everyone is different everyone spends money on their own posion or pleasures. But Anyone Girl Guy Grand Ma can by a EVO, gender doesnt matter. Anyone with money that is lol

this is the most retarded thread ever. Good job to the person who started it

Evo X looks too much like the Lancer? LOL. Evo IX looks just like the Lancer too, to the untrained eye, but you wouldn't know would you.

hey, can't afford a 335i can you? lmao.

The sexism in this thread is astounding; yet unsurprising. Just because a woman has money doesn't mean she's all about blowing it shopping at the mall or only cares about impressing her friends. There are plenty of women out there who actually enjoy driving, enjoy power, and are willing to spend it on a car such as the Evo. The Evo X design is generally more appealing than the previous Evos (which many women did buy) and I'm sure it'll see increased sales with both sexes because of it.

Do you wake up everyday @ the crack of noon to type out this dribble? I think you need to go back to bed and come up with some new material.
BTW, my fiance loves the new X but hated my VIII (except on track where she's pulled some pretty good laptimes).

as of right now, evo is a bit softer. it's just bulkier. BUT inside it's still a beast waiting to be awakened. but honestly this is as far as it gets. if mitsu makes the next evo softer, they are done. its ok to soften up a ride as long as you back it up with power. ironic, mitsu tried this with evo x. i feel they did ok considering all the new elements. the next evo HAS to be more true to itself. keep the soft ride and body for everyday comfort but make sure once you put down that pedal, you rock the devil himself.

God damn, you suck like ****.

Have you seen the Evos before the Evo 9? They all looked like Lancers with body kits.

Ok lets all calm down in here...

I like mitsu (I drove a POS lancer ES for 2 years) and I like the EVO 9 and the X but the X costs too much for mitsus current brand value to sustain.

Mitsu confirmed that they want more female buyers to choose their last desirable car, the EVO, and that is why they messed it up and it is not as great as the 9. All that I stated is true even if it hurts your feelings.

Someone said my car is a chick car...LOL most cars are chick cars now, chicks are driving everything they see men driving now... My car is a basic BMW E46 that looks great, if comfortable drives and handles great was very affordable. It is not as fast as many other models but thats fine with me since I dont race or track my cars. OH and I would have gotten an EVO 9 but they did not bring over the auto version that is available in japan...
