Put me on the list. After 5 years it's time to move on to a new project.
I need a change too. Although I won't be selling my VIII, the wifey convinced me we should keep it. Yes, I said that right . We are planning on getting the X in late summer. She wants to keep the VIII for doing local track days and HPDE events. I am selling my Honda 600RR bike though. We have a daughter now, and its just going to collect dust and not get ridin.....That sale = mods for our future X. Win-Win situation. Can't wait!!

Good luck with your next project, I look forward to mine

Agreed. Although I'd drive it first. Unlike most Evo owners who have something negative to say about the X's performance. My issues w/ the car are strictly related to all the amenities. Detuned racecars for the street (a.k.a as real Evo's) do not have some lame volume control and other system control buttons on the steering wheel, navigation, and a stereo system with huge woofer box. I just think overall too many people nowadays are pampered with all the BS that is in cars. You are in your car to DRIVE not fiddle with this and that. I guess this is why I want to shoot everyone on the road I catch talking on their phones. Done ranting.

The X is definitely a better looking car then the VIII-IX.

I didn't realize that, good to know. For some reason I have an absolute hatred for steering wheel buttons/controls.

I'm still torn. My Evo's paid off, but I've been looking at a bit of cars. I've been looking at the Charger SRT-8, the new STI, and the Nismo Z. I'll make a decision as to what type of car I get after I view the Evo X tomorrow.

I need a new username. Either 8urX, 8yourX, or Evo8urX

No, not kidding. 400hp, 425lb ft torque, makes for a good family car. But I haven't committed to anything yet.

heavier car, worse warantee, only a 5 speed manual model, sounds more like a downgrade. Oh yeah, it has cruise control, how blessed the x owners will be over us for mitsu to include such a feature which was standard on cars for 20 years now.

Yeah, I wish the car would've come with a six speed manual (and as far as I know it only comes with an automatic transmission. That's sports manual shifting is worthless) and I don't care about a warranty. In the all cars I've owned I've never once used the warranty. And of course the car's going to be heavier; it's the size of a boat.

I'm definitely buying the X. The 8/9 were great cars, with a proven motor. But, the X will prove itself and then some. And anyone who says that the 8/9 look better, have your eyes checked. Every single magazine, as well as all the polls taken, indicate that the majority of the population find the new style to be much more sleek, sporty, and more mature. So, not to say that your opinion in invalid, but your opinion is invalid. And to the bone head promoting the caliber, it's a great chassis that is similar to the evo's, but it's not half the car that the EVO is, and for the price you shouldn't expect it to be, or claim that it is. Don't show a video of a modded srt-4 to compare to a stock evo x. Apples and oranges. God, why do I even use this forum. You people are ridiculous.

No. He's right. The X is better looking than our models. It's sleekier, more aggressive looking from the front, and has a nice style.
