Evo X RS in the US
I saw pictures of an RS X a few months ago and it didn't come with brembos, or Recaros. This is just MY speculation but maybe they decided to make the RS the Ralliart, and de-tune the engine add the SST for the U.S. market. Just a thought.

the RS usually 5 speed and no recaros, enkei rims , brembos, abs, etc. And limited to 130 mph.
so the RS is, what i would call the project car from the dealer.
And in th US the avarage people wouldn't even take a look at it. Just remember those RS posts a year ago or before....
Poor guys who can afford to get the MR or GSr get them, etc...
Maybe that is why its not coming here .

The USDM VIII and IX RS had Brembos, Enkeis, Recaros, etc. and speed was not limited. I don't know the details of the IX RS, but my VIII RS had no ABS, no stereo, wind-up windows, manual door looks, no carpeting in the trunk, an extra brace in the trunk, black side mirrors and door handles, thinner window glass and an aluminum trunk with no wing. It was otherwise the same as the "straight 8."
Why would Mitsu do something totally different with the X RS (if we get on at all)?

Also, I think the US RS was also cheaper by a grand or two over the regular...no?
I hope the US X RS (if they have one), has ABS.... that is the only option that prevented me getting the RS over a regular version...

It was significantly cheaper than other models. I paid $26,100 plus tax and license for mine in Oct. 2004.

um.... I would buy one... and would have bought one if i had done more research my I originally got my VIII.
An X -150 or so lbs will make for a great car for track and drag...
i'm deffinaly waiting to see how mitsu plays this card.
I saw in an earlier post that mitsu stated it had a "racers car" in the works and announce it soon. Don't get me wrong, could be the ralliart Eclipse or a ralliart evo RS.. who knows... but yeah, i'd deff get a X RS.. no question bout it.
