How do you manually adjust the HID leveling?

Just wanted to know if the non sss package headlamps would require more work than a simply swap to HID headlamps.

The SSS HIDs are adjusted higher than the ones were on my VIII. At full up, everyone flashes me like I am trying to illuminate the moon, LOL.

Is the leveling done on the headlight housing itself?

I thought that it was a law that all cars equipped with Xenons from the factory has to have self leveling.

there is a switch next to the TSC OFF button on the left of the dash near the door.. 0 is higher 4 is lowest...

It's supposed to be set to 0, when you are by yourself, then as you add weight and or people, you set the setting higher...

Was wondering what this "feature" was for. 08 STi, but it's the same idea I imagine. Unfortunately, even at the highest setting the light pattern doesn't reach nearly far enough (again, this in on an 08 STI).

Wish I had this problem! Guess I'll have to trade the new STI for an MR as soon as they're available.

Does anyone know what type of bulbs the factory HIDs use?

Or you could just adjust your headlights? Seems cheaper. Subaru aims them fairly low from the factory, but it's as easy as turning a couple screws to adjust them.

But I wouldn't adjust them high enough so that other cars are regularly flashing you. Remember that people who cannot see tend to drive towards the light subconciously... you don't want the beacon they're aiming for to be you .
