Evo X test drive at South Coast Mitsubishi
To my suprise it did NOT feel like a heavy car. I own a IX. test drive it before you bet on it.

The point of the X was to be more refined and that's fine. I'm not complaining. I think an X would make a terrific daily driver. Comfortable, quite and like the OP said, no as much "mechanical" sound. Still has all the performance incase you want a bit of a thrill on the drive home from work, haha.
I'd love to test drive the X next time I'm at the dealer. I think it's going to turn out to be a great car, but I'm sure it'll defiantly have it's signature flaws like the VII-IX's do. What car doesn't?
My brother in law and sister are looking for an AWD sedan. I'm trying to get the to go for the Evo X
Acceleration was not as hard, but I chalk that up to the A/C being on during the drive. I really didn't get enough of a drive to compare the acceleration between the IX and X, unfortunately. I'm sure one of the new X owners will be able to provide a detailed comparo between the accelerationand the powerband. The interior noise has definitely been diminished from the IX. You no longer can "hear" the car as well as previous models.
it all shows that more refinement in the Evo X has to happen... its a new model so thats to be expected...
so the x is a nice car to look at but not one to really own just yet.... patience my friends HAHAH
