Team D replacement shift boot...

If you already have an Evo X or have had the pleasure of seeing the interior, a common complaint is the factory shift boot. The factory boot is made of vinyl, looking much like grandma's old couch from the 70s. Here are some pics of the factory boot, inside and out:

The vinyl is held to the factory plastic ring with 4 staples and the factory shift dampener ring is secured using a zip tie.

Our car is silver, and if you observed the factory steering wheel, the stitch is also silver/gray. Our replacement boot is genuine leather, with silver cross stitch to match the factory steering wheel and also the car's color.

If anyone interested in matching their Xs color, we also made them in red and blue to match:

If anyone is interested we can make these. There will be 2 options:

Genuine leather shift boot with choice color stitch, will require the factory shift ring dampener and plastic base to be transferred over from the removed factory boot. $90.00 shipped.

fully assembled boot, ready to install will be $25 extra, we take a new oem boot, disassemble and mount the new boot on the base and install the dampener.

If at all interested or any questions please let me know.

Shahin

This is badass. The factory boot does suck.

The pictures of the Ralliart and MR show a nicer looking boot, IIRC.

EDIT
something like that, actually

It really makes the interior look 100% better in my opinion. Our car is equipped with the GSR sport package with the shift knob and ebrake lever. The leather matches the ebrake perfectly.

That looks sweet!!!! Any plans for anything else in the interior?

DirectorSe7en - MR with the SST will require it's own design probably.

Regards
Jon
