Buschur Racing's Evo X Is On The Way.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to let you all know that we have an EVO X coming. We'll have the car, a Rally Red A00 package, on the 13th of February. I just got off the phone with the dealer and that is the information I was given.

You all can expect it to be on the dyno the day we get it

We'll have turbo back exhausts, filter kits, I/C pipe kits, FMIC's etc. within 30 days of getting the car. Luckily we work closely and on a fairly large scale with our bender and CNC shops so it will move along quickly from prototype to production parts.

I've taken some long looks at the car already at the Detroit Autoshow and the design and layout of some of the car is very promising. Should make for some kick *** parts. I have some ideas already running through my mind for the car.

We did get the 5 speed model.

Also, we called a bunch of dealers trying to find a car right now but as usual there is a lot of price gouging going on right now. We had some rediculous crack smoking salesmen on the phone today, some asking $10,000 more than we paid for this one.

I bought this one through Mentor Mitsubishi. If anyone needs a contact name and phone number shoot me a PM and I will get it to you. They have a few more coming in about this same time.

Looking forward to modifying this next generation EVO. It has very large shoes to fill when it comes to replacing the 4G63, I hope it proves to be a true "Evolution".

Thanks for reading.

Hey guys, congrats. I have some questions though;

1. I know you want to get parts out there quickly, but isn't there a certain level of R&D that should go into creating parts? I feel like 30 days is way to soon to have created something and already have it out there.

2. Will what you create for the GSR work on the MR? Intercooler, IC Piping, TBE, etc...

Are you guys going to team up with Mentor Mitsubishi to make another BR330/BR350 type of car?

Large shoes to fill indeed... can't wait to hear your analysis on each part of the car: MiVEC, turbo, intake, FMIC, ECU, etc..

Yes, I believe we will be working with Mentor on BR350 packages.

I am looking forward to driving the car and seeing what they have done to it too. I am a die hard 4G63 fan, it will be hard to convert me over. I am entering this excited and open minded though.

No I do not think 30 days is too fast to bring parts to market. We are talking about parts that we've built thousands of over the last 19 years from exhausts, to intercoolers to engines. It's truly just another car. Had we never built an exhaust or intercooler (for example) before I'd be concerned since we have built thousands, it's just another car.

Now, the engine is another story. That is going to take some R&D work and running them under very hard conditions for me to be confident enough to build one for a customer and sell it. The 4G63 I can put together with great confidence on each and every engine and never worry about it. It has taken a LOT of engines to get to that point. I have no worries about sending an engine out to run 50+ psi of boost and 10,000+ rpm. This new engine/head will be all new. Going to take some work with our vendors we have grown to trust to build new good parts for them and a lot of dyno work. The cylinder head will need flow bench fixture built and countless hours of flow bench testing and experimentation.

I wish they kept the 4g63 and i could have dealt with the body style change.. glad your taking an open minded approach.. As for me I dont like the entire engine bay setup. I can stand working on a turbo thats behind the motor..

I agree, so that's why I don't work on my car at all

How long before you slap a 4G63 in the X body?

Very well said. I hope other people that just purchased this car can have an open mind about what's been proven and realize that this car has to EARN it's reputation - not just because it's new..
