How soon?

How soon until we see some mods available for the X? Picking mine up next week, just deciding between a black GSR and a White MR.

I saw AGP is already getting a lot of stuff done, I'm assuming it won't be long before basic mods are available?

Is black GSR already available? People on these boards say it will not be here until
April.

black or a similar color, is there a gunmetal type color with the X? I kinda just made a mental note that they had a dark colored GSR and a white MR coming in. My other local dealer has most of their order already claimed by other customers

Shouldn't be too long, less than two months for sure. So far it seems that the EVO X has got a lot of bolt on potential, but it does seem to make a little less power stock for stock compared to a EVO IX (about 10 to 15whp less).

This is an early rough estimate and may change with more dynos.

Stock EVO X- 240-250whp (Dynojet) 255-265wtq (Dynojet)
Stock EVO IX- 255-265whp (Dynojet) 250-260wtq (Dynojet)

EVO X w/ MBC @22PSI, Exhaust, Intake, and Intercooler Mod- 320-330whp (Dynojet) 310-320wtq (Dynojet)
EVO IX w/ MBC @20-21PSI, Exhaust, Intake, and Intercooler Mod- 285-295whp (Dynojet) 255-265wtq (Dynojet)

Of course with a tune a EVO IX power usually jumps up to 310whp and higher, some even in the 340whp (if your lucky) and torque goes over 300whp too. I have no idea how much more power the EVO X will make with a tune. Also I have no idea how much more power can be made on the EVO X. As we all know, when a EVO IX hits around 320whp, it really is just getting started and there is still A LOT more power left on the table.

Wow man thanks for the comprehensive answer! I appreciate it. Now I'm kinda new to imports, can we import parts/do any shops import parts? Looking at the car show pics it seems like there's already a lot out there around the world

No problem, but I must re-state that my numbers are just rough estimates, I only have several modded EVO X dynos to go off of in comparison of hundreds of EVO IXs, so the numbers can change. Also it's not uncommon to gain a lot of power with bolt ons for most turbo cars, what really shines about the stock turbo on the EVO IX is that even after the basic bolt ons, it still has so much power left to be made. A perfect example is the EVO IX stock turbo in comparison to the 07 STI stock turbo. With simple bolt ons and tunes, the two cars usually put down similiar numbers (usually though the STI puts down a lot more torque) but after that the EVO IX stock turbo just starts to pull away. You will be lucky to make over 350whp on the stock turbo on a STI with all bolt ons and Race gas or Meth while the EVO IX stock turbo can handle well over 400whp. I think so far the EVO IX stock turbo has been pushed into the 440whp range and honestly I still think it can make more power. So it wouldn't surprise me if the EVO X makes a lot of power at first, and starts to lose some steam as the turbo hits its limits. But what is the limit of the stock turbo of the EVO X? I have no idea.

Exclamation

Hopefully by the end of the year we have every conceivable mod from every big player out there.

I just want the basics;
  • Full TBE + TP
  • MBC
  • Springs
  • 02 Housing
  • Intake
  • Cams
  • ECU Tune

Yeah I realize what a stupid question it was once I saw some of the threads from the shops that have their test cars.

I just want intake, exhaust, and tune for now haha. And a very obnoxious BOV. I gotta start lookin at wheels too! Mmm carbon fiber hoods...oh man I can't wait to have an import again

Haha I'll do my best. I promise to keep it subtle and stealth. Except the obnoxious BOV. I dont care what anyone has to say about that.
