Evo X price, insurance, etc...

So I just came back from my dealer here, that 5k over price that I wrote about the other day, was just for their "show" car and for bragging rights (first evo in the state). They are getting 12 evos in the next 2 weeks or so, so I might just be getting what I wanted (gray or black with the SSS package).

I did check them out, and I'm a bit dissapointed with the plasticky door panels, and lack of leather seats.... Did you guys get the same impression?

What I was wondering how much the guys that already purchased one, paid (mainly if it was over sticker - and what were the costs associated, and how much), and how much the insurance is going to be? It'd seem that since it's "safer" than evo IX, the insurance will be less?

Well, leather is slippery, which would kind of work against the purpose of a sports seat... unless you want sports seats in your car for show only as opposed to maximum function...

I went to get an insurance quote the other day on several vehicles I am considering including the X. On my IX I paid 250 per month, on my 03 Z I currently pay 245 and they said on a X im looking at 260 per month. And my record is far from perfect and I live in Phoenix and I am 22, so I guess thats not too bad of a price for insurance.

That pretty funny. I was about to post a new topic and say how cheap the new interior of the X looked. I LOVED LOVED the exterior especially with the Aero kit but.. The interior was so tacky and cheap looking. Was an extreme disappointment that leather seats were not an option and that Mitsu decided to put chrome accents on the door handles and the chrome shifter trim is horrible . Looks like plastic cheese. I got offered a great deal on it and was about to pull the trigger but than I sat inside the car and to tell you the truth I found that I was more comfortable in my 8 SSL than in the X. What a shame maybe next year.

Thats pretty funny! That would really suck bro but.... Damn man they could do a lot better w/ the interior. I mean at the LEAST keep the IX seats and leather accents and change the cheap *** fake chrome. That would not add any weight..

maybe i had crappy cars inthe past, but i was quite impressed with the interior and the seats.

Anyway, I paid MSRP. I fought for a great APR due to the recent fed drops in interest rate and current market drops. And im paying about $115 a month, 26 yrs old, 1 speeding ticket thats 3 years old.
