I really want the HID projectors, is this the only way to get them? I have to get the sound and spoiler too? I was hoping that they had HIds standard but maybe they were fixed and with the SSS package they had leveling control or something. I really dont want to spend the extra 2000+ for HIDS.

Dont forget Fast key, That's a must.

 

I wouldn't even consider an Evo without the SSS package.

Why not simply upgrade to aftermarket HID's ~400$ ?

Ask around to some of the Lancer crowd, they may have already done it.

You could possibly buy the individual components, the sounds stuff, the wing, and the HID's. But if you only want the hid's you could save money by getting only that via aftermarket

 

Either way you go, HID's are a must, I can't imagine driving without them

 

Thought so even though it would cost a lot. I could only get my hands on a white GSR (1000 below msrp atleast) with nothing else. Is that all the SSS inlcudes? sound+wing+hid's? the fast key system would be the most problematic adding it yourself im sure.

 

If you really want the HID's why not just buy an aftermarket kit?

It's obviously cheaper then $2,000 that's for sure.

 

Wel theres a difference between halogen projectors and a true HID projector. i dont want just the look of HID but the performance and amazing beam pattern with that sexy blue colorband. I would have to get the whole headlight assembly as well as D2s HID bulbs and the ballasts and also a new wiring harness since HID is 35w and Halogen is 55w.

 

I only wanted the HIDs and could have gone without the spoiler and the stereo with that SSS package on my X, but in the end I couldn't have been happier with the entire package after getting it. The Fast Key, Projectors with leveling adjuster, and even the stereo with Sirius Sat Radio is all very worth the 1.6k i paid for it. It's a properly equipped Evo for Daily driving with that package you won't regret it once you play with it.
