To wait, or not to wait?
Well i have an SRT 4 right now and i'm thinking that i should wait a little bit longer for the stupid dealer markup to drop and for mitsu to fix some bugs people may or may not find. do you guys think that if i had the chance to get it now then i should? or should i still wait for a little longer?
ps: i love my srt

South Coast Mitsu = no markup
Like others have mentioned, you can find the car without a mark-up from several dealers in the LA area.
You bring up a good discussion point about waiting until any and all bugs have been worked out. There are potentially some transmission issues that have already arisen for a few of the early X owners. I'm not certain of the validity or if it's a real issue, but a few guys started a thread about it. You should read the thread and make your own conclusion from it.
It all depends on how comfortable you feel buying a new car with a new platform, new engine, new transmission, etc. You could buy it now and not have an issue. You could buy it now and have issues. But, the same thing could happen if you wait for next year's Evo X to come out.
If you have to have the new car right now, then go for it. You can find a good deal.
If you are happy with your SRT4 and can wait a little longer, might be a better choice.

He was recommending Tuftriding the crank for high output.
Other things that he mentioned was the exhaust outlet of the factory has a really bad bend in it that is creating alot of restriction, injectors and fuel pump has a pretty high capacity, and the electronic throttle closes the throttle under certain conditions. He also said that the ECU is a pain in the ***, he was saying something about it overwriting their new fuel & timing MAP and that nobody has really figured it out yet. He said that his should be available in April but so far, nobody here in Japan has a reflash ECU for it yet. Oh and he said the cams where really small, something like 224 IN and 193 EX.

stupid squeaky clutch is pissing me off i cant wait to fix everything up and maintain it till i use it for a trade in for an Evo X down the line =]
and i think personally if you have a trade in worth a good amount plus a nice money down payment they're gonna make strides to get you into that Evo X =P
Believe it or not I am on the fence with this x
I did not like it but now its growing on me. The few things that bother me right now is the fact its something new from
and I will wait till any bugs arise and is fixed( mitsu is not known for the warr work) second, the economy is not looking to hot. I pretty much have my 07 TL type S and my 06 gg se paid off and right now I want to see if our ecomomy comes to a standstill or not. So def I will wait. Evo's are not going anywhere
