Hi Guys,

So far in the last 2 weeks I have spotted 4 EVO X MRs (red/black) driving around Irvine.

It's possible that these cars are being used by either Car and Driver/Road and Track for testing since their offices are based in Newport Beach/Irvine.

Hopefully we will see these at the dealer soon.

My guess is no if it was C/D bc they usally take videos/pictures of the cars

Sounds like when the new Mustang body style came out in 2005. I saw one at every corner within weeks.

 

^ I hope that won't be the case. I have yet to see 1 new evo in my area, heard someone did just buy 1 though.

 

EvoM is going there to test drive the MR again on the 29th? I think...

One or two key (R&D / Marketing) guys from the nearby (Cypress) Mitsu MMNA offices also live around the area. They on occasion drive around the mules / pre-production cars to and from work. Last year, I saw an evo x "taped logos/badges" and all driving around. I've seen the concept Ralliart Endeavor and Galants around as well. Must be nice to have daily driver access to a "company (preproduction)car" / "one of a kind".

The MR's at mistu just got validated and released to the press this last week. Thos are probably the cars you are seeing

The cars weren't taped up or debadged. They were real production cars with a three digit plate (from what I could tell from a distance).
